Kevin, K6TD says "Dick, I think we are done setting up now so I'm going to take a rest!"
The 50' Tri-Ex tower trailer tower supports a 2-el SteppIR and two inverted vee's for 40 and 80

Gee, do you think there might be a water hole just ahead to the left next to that monolith that's pointing skyward?
2-el SteppIR with 40/80 m inverted vee's just barely visible to the right and left!
On all N6RC CQP Expeditions, the Hummer H2 provides complete redundency with an installed IC-7000, Hi-Q Mobile Antenna, Ameritron Mobile Amplifier, jacks for 110v power from a generator, and HF antennas on the back bumper.  The 12v system in the Hummer consists of two jell cells, heavy duty wiring, ground isolation, isolation switches, and a 2 Farad capacitor to keep the voltage consistently high under varying loads.
At the end of the contest Dick & Kevin are smiling due to our successful operation.  We started teaming together in 2004 (Glenn), 2005 (Glenn), 2006 (Mobile County Operation), 2007 (Merced), and 2008 (Monterey).  As Martti, OH2BH,  would say, "where do we go next?"  Our answer is one of the following (the only counties out of 58 in California that we did not hear or work from our Monterey site) - Lake, Colusa, Sierra, Shasta, or Santa Barbara!  Hmmmm, maybe Santa Barbara where it's warm!
